Welcome to Cancún Deluxe!

The intention of this blog is to offer an overview of the Mayan world that allows our followers to give an idea of its historical depth and its wealth. The idea is to show the enormous variety of the Mayan culture and the degree of perfection reached in the elaboration of objects, astronomical observations, mathematics, religion, ceramics, in the construction of buildings and much more.

There is no doubt that Mayan culture is one of the cultures that attracts the attention of researchers and those interested in pre-Hispanic culture. In a certain way this is because the Mayan culture evokes the idea of great cities lost in the jungle, but also because it represents one of the most extensive and complex developments of its time, dating back to around 1000 bC, If one takes into account the appearance of the traits that define it, or a little more than 10,000 years if one considers the remains of the first settlers of the region.

However, from that long history has remained a set of vestiges of such magnitude and richness, that it is not exaggerated to say that this is one of the greatest archaeological treasures of the world. It is a universe that includes thousands of sites, the vast majority still unexplored, and a large number of buildings, sculptures, luxury objects, tools, etc. For many years a large number of archaeologists and researchers have been working hard to understand the significance of each of these remains, and now there is a reasonably broad view of the history of the ancient Maya, although there is still much to be discovered and investigated.

We hope you enjoy reading our posts and look forward to seeing you on your next vacation to the Maya Land!
